In my opinion this is a "4.5 star" air rifle. I give it 5 stars because by being made in Germany, its price makes it irresistable! First of all, Vincent was very gentle by answering my questions prior to buy. Shipping to the USA was super fast: 3 business days. Rifle presents a high quality synthetic stock of an unique color and adjustable cheek piece. It feels ergonomically marvelous upon handling it, in my opinion. I particularly like the anti slip coating on the grips. The bottom of the pistol grip has a plastic lid or cover; mine popped out right after my second shot, so, you might want to secure it with some locktite. The barrel is exquisite and accurate both, with open sights and with scope. For example, I was able to shoot 2 inches diameter targets at 50 yards with open sights. Impressing. Then, I put a Nikon Prostaff 3-9 x 40 and I was able to shoot 1 1/2 inches groups at 50 yards with JSB 18.13. Note: this gas piston has quite a punch, so expect some noise and a recoil that will demand a proper scope. (The barrel on this version does not allow any type of moderator, so this thing is not backyard friendly.) Sights are all metal, which is very nice, but dots are all painted red in both, front and rear sights. No fiber optic nor red/green combination, so target acquisition could be challenging in low light conditions. (Note: to adjust windage a torx T5 is needed. The manual omits this.) I really, really love the trigger the way it came from the store, so I did not touch it at all. The first stage is nice, smooth, and lasts long enough to shoot comfortably. Cocking effort is what it should be expected from a 22 joules gas piston, but nothing a regular adult person cannot handle with a proper technique. Breaking the barrel, loading the pellet, and closing the barrel is a unique experience that shows how solid and robust this thing is. In conclusion, I love this air rifle, it's a pleasure to shoot, accurate, powerful, affordable, and made in Germany! I pity that Diana has discontinued its making.
