The Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro is a precise and versatile speed meter with a compact design.

Measurement range

Thanks to its wide measurement range (20–1525 m/s | 65–5000 FPS), it measures the velocity of various types of projectiles with high accuracy.
This makes the Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro suitable for use with firearms, air rifles, and bows (including crossbows).

Radar system

The Rangecraft Velocity Pro operates using a radar system that briefly tracks the projectile. The advantage of this system is that you don't have to shoot through a small device (with the risk of damage) and it is not sensitive to light.
The Rangecraft’s radar can detect projectiles from 4.3mm to 12.7mm (0.17–0.50 inch).

Why you need a chronograph

A chronograph/speedometer measures the velocity of the projectile shot from your weapon. Knowing the exact speed of a projectile provides valuable information about its trajectory and how your air rifle is tuned.

You can use this data to calculate holdover/adjustments for your scope or to configure a digital scope such as the Alpex LRF so it can predict your bullet's trajectory.

In short: a chrono is essential once you start tuning a rifle and want to understand the ballistics of your projectile.
