These pellets are easy to use for cleaning the barrel of your (air)rifle.

Push a pellet through the barrel with a small amount of oil of your choice (E.g. Ballistol or Brunox) to apply a coating. Then use the necessary number of dry pellets to clean and dry the barrel.

Can you simply shoot these pellets?

These cleaning pellets have been on the market for quite some time, and it's often claimed that you can safely shoot them through the barrel to clean it.

However, this method comes with risks. Especially when using spring-powered air rifles. Since these pellets do not create sufficient back pressure like a standard pellet does, the effect is similar to dry-firing the rifle. This can cause damage to the piston or spring and is therefore not recommended.
