Thanks to the placement of the reservoir around the barrel and the plenum beneath the action, the DRS handles like a traditional firearm.

The DRS MKII Tactical is the newest member of the DRS family and the successor to the DRS Tactical.
It has a striking look, with an Arca Swiss rail running the full length of the underside of the handguard and a Picatinny rail running the full length along the top.
New to the MK2 is and easy change system for the barrel liners, a 30 MOA rail and the addition of the 7,62mm (.30) caliber.
It is impossible not to start with the DRS' most striking featurew: the air reservoir sits around the barrel.
That means the DRS doesn't carry a bottle hanging off the action. This gives it a completely different look to it than a normal PCP air rifle.
Besides the clean design, there's a functional side to it too: The tube makes for a strong supportive structure around the barrel
This Compact version has a 210cc reservoir.
The plenum has been given just as much thought. This is the air supply, or antechamber, after the regulator that the rifle uses for the shot.
The 35cc Tactical Power Plenum sits underneath the bolt housing/main block.
The DRS is a regulated rifle, which means the regulator consistently fills the plenum to a set pressure.
Because the plenum holds the same pressure for every shot, the DRS delivers exactly the same power shot after shot, with high accuracy as a result.
The MK2 is fitted with the AMP MKII regulator. The regulator pressure is adjustable for different power ranges, so you can match it to the pellets or slugs you shoot.
The DRS puts its power through the STX Superior barrel.
This barrel system uses the familiar FX liner system with interchangeable barrels and liners. The standard liner is optimised for pellets and light slugs and can be swapped for a Heavy/Slug liner with a different twist rate and choke.
New on the MK2 is that you can change the liner without unscrewing the reservoir.
It sounds like a small change, but it saves a great deal of work during maintenance and tuning.
The DRS MK2 Tactical Compact is fitted with a 500mm STX Superior standard barrel. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x20 UNF for an optional muzzle device like a muzzle break of suppressor.
The DRS comes set up in a average setup that makes it universally usable for most purposes.
If that isn't optimal for what you have in mind (too powerful or not powerful enough) then the DRS is easy to adjust.
Both the hammer spring and the regulator pressure are highly adjustable, letting you dial the power in exactly where you want it.
The match trigger on the MK2 is fully adjustable as well: first and second stage, plus the height, reach and rotation of the trigger blade.
With these settings the DRS can be optimised to suit any shooter.
The Picatinny rail on top of the DRS MK2 Tactical now comes with a 30 MOA incline.
That leaves you more adjustment range in your scope for shooting at longer distances.
Where the first DRS Tactical was supplied without a stock, the MK2 comes complete: a buffer tube with an adjustable AR15 stock.
