The AEA 480 Bar Compressor is a high-performance solution designed to quickly and easily fill your PCP rifles. As the name suggests, it can handle fill pressures up to 480 bar.
This exceeds the typical 200–300 bar maximums of most air rifles. This means filling your air rifle’s tank takes just a matter of moments.

The AEA 480 Bar Compressor is user-friendly and comes with everything you need to get started: an A/C power cable for connecting to a standard wall outlet or separate battery, and a set of jumper cables for use with a car battery.

Using the AEA Compressor

Once you’ve selected the correct power source, simply set the desired fill pressure using the display and control buttons located below it. The four buttons (SET, ON/OFF, plus (+), and minus (–)) are all you need to operate the compressor:

  • Hold SET for 3 seconds and press the plus button to switch between bar and PSI.
  • Hold SET for 3 seconds and press SET again, then use the plus button to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

With your preferred units set, it’s time to adjust the fill pressure. Hold the plus and minus buttons for 3 seconds to enter adjustment mode, then use the plus or minus button to set your desired pressure.

Attach the fill hose (secured on top of the unit) to your PCP tank, press the ON/OFF button, and let the AEA 480 Bar Compressor do the rest. It’s a fast and reliable system with an auto-stop feature that ensures your tank fills safely to the set pressure.

The display shows both temperature and elapsed time during the fill process. A built-in cooling fan kicks in at 35°C/95°F and runs until the compressor cools down below 30.2°C/90°F. If the temperature reaches 71°C/160°F, the compressor shuts off automatically to prevent overheating.

Maintenance is simple. The compressor is oil-free, and there’s a pressure release valve on the side for draining moisture collected during operation.

Important notes on the AEA:

  • Always check the maximum fill pressure of your airgun before use. The AEA 480 Bar Compressor’s output far exceeds what most air rifles can handle, so it’s essential to set the correct fill pressure before filling.
  • This compressor is not suitable for filling larger air cylinders or bottles. Only PCP air reservoirs.
  • For optimal results, we recommend pairing the compressor with the Dry Pac Hill Compressor Pro Air Dryer Filter to ensure dry, clean air enters your PCP system.
